North Cork Fine Gael Councillor John Paul O’Shea is encouraging members of the public to embrace their wild side and get involved with National Tree Week 2019, taking place from 31 March to 7 April.
Organised by the Tree Council of Ireland in association with Coillte, local communities are being encouraged to organise events to celebrate National Tree Week, including forest and woodland walks, nature trails, workshops, talks, tree hugging, tree climbing, poetry readings and exhibitions.
“If you or your community is interested in organising an event for National Tree Week, visit www.treecouncil.ie to find more information and register an event. Full details about organised events will be released by the National Tree Council in advance of National Tree Week 2019.
“This is a great opportunity to get outdoors and appreciate the wonders of nature with a community-focused event,” said Cllr. O’Shea.
