In response to concerns raised by motorists and local councillors, Cork County Council has planned and implemented the signalisation of Inniscarra Bridge.
The new traffic signals operate using sensors to detect traffic in order to ensure that waiting times are minimised. Separate sets of elevated lights ensure visibility with regard to the relatively large volume of high heavy goods vehicles.
The lights will reduce delays during peak traffic hours and make the bridge a safer and more pleasant drive for commuters and visitors to Cork
