Cork County Council’s Budget 2021 Adopted

Cork County Council’s Budget 2021 Adopted
Cork County Council has today passed the Council’s budget for 2021 totalling €348 million, an increase of almost €10m.

The 2021 Budget retains several important local initiatives, including the general municipal allocation, town development fund and village enhancement fund, which will all be maintained at 2020 levels as a direct result of the Fine Gael’s grouping on Cork County Council proposals for Budget 2021 which was to ringfence €3.5m to support our communities.

I feel it is important, particularly in the times we are in to continue to support our communities through our tidy towns committees, development associations and community councils. It is also critical we continue to support our sporting, cultural and artistic community as they have been hot so hard during Covid-19.

It was also critical for Fine Gael that businesses in County Cork will not see any increase in their commercial rates for 2021 – Read more about today’s budget at – https://www.corkcoco.ie/en/news/cork-county-councils-budget-2021-adopted
