The Mayor of the County of Cork, Cllr John Paul O’ Shea will host a Mayoral Reception on Wednesday next, 13th April 2016 at 7pm in County Hall in honour of a number of Cork people who have received substantial accolades recently.
The Mayor will honour the following:-
- Lily De La Cour – Bantry – Winner of the Senior World Kickboxing Championships 50kg category
- Colaiste Treasa – Kanturk – U19 All Ireland Basketball Champions
- Colaiste Treasa – kanturk – U16 Boys and Girls All Ireland Badminton Champions
- Connor Ellis – Kealkill – Announced as FAI Schools International Player of the Year
- John Twomey – Ballinhassig – Qualifying for the 2016 Paraympics Games in Sailing
- Conor Hyde – Hyde Irish Whiskey, brewed in Skibbereen and recent winner of the best Single Malt Irish Whiskey in the world
Colaiste Treasa Kanturk who were recently crowned the U19 All Ireland Basketball Championships recently and will get a Mayoral Award from County Mayor Cllr. John Paul O’ Shea on Wednesday next.
The Mayoral Reception promises to be a wonderful evening celebrating people who have made substantial contributions to their community through their business, sporting and creative endeavours.
