Creative Cork County Grant Recipients Announced For 2022

Cork County Council has announced the recipients of the Creative County Cork Grants 2022.  

This Scheme is funded by Creative Ireland with the principal objective of supporting local communities and the creative sector to develop and deliver an innovative project, event or initiative that will help stimulate and enable creativity in every community.

North Cork Fine Gael Councillor John Paul O’Shea welcomed the announcement saying “this funding will come as a welcome support to community groups and creative practitioners. The last two years have really highlighted how important creative projects are for us as individuals and communities. This funding will enable many more opportunities to come together and share in the wonders available through the arts in Cork County. We are very grateful to be able to offer this support with thanks to Creative Ireland”

Funding totalling €35,000 will be divided between 22 successful applicant organisations throughout County Cork. The successful applicants are listed below:

  • Art for the Heart – €750
  • Beara Film Fest – €1,200
  • Bere Island Women Create – €2,050
  • Caple Painters – €600
  • Carrigaline Family Support CLG – €1,200
  • CCÉ Craobh Lachtaín Naofa, Cill na Martra – €800
  • Clonakilty International Guitar Festival – €1,800
  • Comhaltas Craobh Eochaille – €1,800
  • Cork Film Centre – Cork Young Filmmakers Programme – €2,500
  • Cork International Film Festival – €1,000
  • Doneraile Samhain Festival – Art for the Heart,
  • First Cut Youth Film Festival – €1,800
  • Geata Arts – €2,500
  • Greywood Arts CLG – €1,500
  • Kanturk Arts Festival – €800
  • Kanturk Tidy towns – €2,000
  • Midleton Arts Festival – €2,800
  • Owenabue Arts Collective – €1,500
  • Sirius Arts Centre – €1,200
  • Skibbereen FeelGood Festival – €1,700
  • St Joseph’s Foundation Mallow Hub – €3,000
  • Untold Stories: Playback Theatre – €1,500

The grant scheme is funded by Creative Ireland, a national programme which connects people, creativity and wellbeing. It is an all-of-government culture and wellbeing programme that inspires and transforms people, places and communities through creativity. Creative Ireland is committed to the vision that every person in Ireland should have the opportunity to realise their full creative potential.
