The second tranche of funding under the enhanced Town and Village Renewal Scheme has been announced.
There is great news for Kanturk with €40,000 allocated for the renewal of Town Park including widening of footpaths and provision of seating and benches.
There is also good news for Liscarroll with €25,000 allocated for village enhancements comprising of painting, signage for local visitor and heritage attractions, planting and footpath repairs to enhance safety.
Welcoming the funding for North Cork, Cllr. John Paul O’ Shea said “This is excellent news for Kanturk & Liscarroll as these communities have been working with Cork County Council on developing these projects for the last number of months. The delivery of these projects will have a positive boost to the local economy in North Cork and will encourage rural development and will improve and strengthen existing rural projects.
Well done to both Kanturk & Liscarroll and to Minister Heather Humphreys for allocating this funding to these deserving groups”.
