The May meeting of the Kanturk/Mallow Municipal District of Cork County Council will take place on Monday, 9th April 2018 in the Council Offices, Anabella, Mallow, Co Cork.
These meetings are held once a month, where the six councillors representing the Kanturk/Mallow Municipal District Area meet with the engineers that cover the area.
Councillors are entitled to submit a maximum of three motions in advance of the meeting on issues relating to day to day services provided by Cork County Council, such as roads, water, housing, waste water etc… The engineers have a written response to present at the meeting which is then discussed.
My motions for the May meeting are as follows:
“That the Kanturk/Mallow Municipal District install traffic calming measures including speed ramps on St. Joseph’s Road, Mallow especially on the road from the graveyard in towards the town centre”.
“That the Kanturk/Mallow Municipal District would write to the TII requesting funding to repair and resurface the Spa Road, Mallow which is in a terrible state presently”.
“That the Kanturk/Mallow Municipal District Executive would update members on the re-surfacing works proposed for Ballymaquirke junction”.
