Water production has re-commenced this evening at the Allow Regional Water Scheme plant in Freemount. A temporary production unit will operate the plant until it can be fully restored.
Water will start to return to all areas from tomorrow once reservoir levels increase. It may take all of tomorrow before it fully returns to higher areas.
Sincere thanks to all staff with Cork County Council, Irish Water and outside expertise in turning this around so quickly. And thanks to all the constituents for your patience over the last few days.
