The ever-popular Kanturk/Mallow Municipal District Towns and Villages Communities in Bloom competition (formerly known as the Towns & Villages Garden & Floral Display) returns for 2019 with €3,800 in prize money to be won.
This year the focus has been put on communities as a whole and the competition includes a new category, ‘Best Maintained Public Space’, in order to encourage Tidy Towns and Residents’ Association groups to enter their public spaces that they are maintaining, so that the prize money is put back into the public space.
There are three categories as follows:
Category 1 – Best Floral Display in Housing Estate – prize money €1,600 (€200 per award). This category is confined to estates with Residents’ Association groups.
