Following the completion of major refurbishments to Charleville Town Park & Playground, plans are progressing to install a new pedestrian crossing on Park Road, Cork North West Fine Gael General Election candidate Councillor John Paul O’Shea has confirmed.
Refurbishment of the playground was completed during the summer and included extensive refurbishment of the existing playground as well as new play equipment, new surfacing, enhanced accessibility, sensory equipment, seating and perimeter fencing.
This week, Cllr. O’Shea said: “The current pedestrian crossing is old and unsafe. The new crossing will make it much safer for all users of Charleville Town Park. Cork County Council is currently preparing plans through Section 38 of the Planning and Development Act and will be seeking the public’s feedback on the proposed pedestrian crossing shortly.”
