Cork North West Fine Gael General Election candidate Councillor John Paul O’Shea has welcomed funding for four Ballyhea community organisations under a scheme established by the joint developers of the Castlepook Wind Farm near Doneraile.
The Community Development Fund was established to support community and voluntary organisations within the local area.
The successful Ballyhea applicants are:
Ballyhea National School – to support the purchase of a collapsible stage for its new general-purpose hall.
Ballyhea Historical Society – towards the compilation of the history of Ballyhea parish.
Ballyhea National School Parents Association – towards the purchase of sports equipment.
Ballyhea GAA Club – towards an amenity pathway.
Cllr. O’Shea said: “Well done to all of the successful applicants, especially those in Ballyhea, where four exciting projects have gotten the green light.”
