North Cork Fine Gael Councillor John Paul O’Shea has welcomed confirmation of funding for new facilities at Boherbue National School.
Cllr. O’Shea said: “I very much welcome the confirmation of funding for the construction of one new mainstream classroom, disabled toilet, two special education rooms and a new entrance foyer/entrance hall at Boherbue National School.
“I visited the school before Christmas and met with Principal Ms. Marie Casey who made a very good case for this extension. My congratulations to the staff, pupils and parents of Boherbue National School. I look forward to paying a return visit to the school to see the fantastic new facilities once completed.
“Fine Gael in Government has put a central focus on education and the announcement of funding for Boherbue is just the latest project to upgrade facilities in schools right across the county of Cork and throughout Ireland. Teachers, as we know, do a fantastic job each day and having suitably high-standard facilities is paramount for the proper teaching of our children.”
