The March meeting of the Kanturk/Mallow Municipal District of Cork County Council will take place on Friday 1st March 2019 in the Council Offices, Annabella, Mallow, Co Cork.
These meetings are held once a month, where the six councillors representing the Kanturk/Mallow Municipal District Area meet with the engineers that cover the area.
Councillors are entitled to submit a maximum of three motions in advance of the meeting on issues relating to day to day services provided by Cork County Council, such as roads, water, housing, waste water etc…
The engineers have a written response to present at the meeting which is then discussed.
My motions for the March meeting are as follows:
“That the Kanturk/Mallow Municipal District review the safety and location of the current pedestrian crossing on the Macroom Road in Millstreet”“That the Kanturk/Mallow Municipal District apply to the Clár Programme 2019 for the purchase and installation of two Driver Feedback Signs for Kanturk Town. Particular focus should be on the Newmarket Road in Kanturk which is notorious for speed”“That the Kanturk/Mallow Municipal District erect a better boundary ditch/barrier on the road at Keelnahulla Boherbue which is a danger to road users due to the severe drop off in the area. This area has been subject to a number of incidents over the years”.
