The October meeting of the Kanturk/Mallow Municipal District of Cork County Council will take place on Monday 21st October 2019 in the Council Offices, Annabella, Mallow, Co Cork.
These meetings are held once a month, where the nine councillors representing the Kanturk/Mallow Municipal District Area meet with the engineers that cover the area.
Councillors are entitled to submit a maximum of three motions in advance of the meeting on issues relating to day to day services provided by Cork County Council, such as roads, water, housing, waste water etc… The engineers have a written response to present at the meeting which is then discussed.
My motions for the October meeting are as follows:
“That Cork County Council put in place additional warning signs of concealed junction on the R576 at Coolnahane, Kanturk (Nearest Eircode P51C425) as you turn off the R576 for Kippagh South, Kanturk as this junction is currently very dangerous”.
“That Cork County Council review traffic flow in Charleville Town and consider the following as part of this review:
- Right turning traffic as you exit from New Line onto N20
- Right turning traffic as you exit from Broad Street onto N20
- Re-location of bus stops within Town centre to more suitable locations
“That Cork County Council schedule road repairs to Railway Road, Charleville”.
