The April meeting of the Kanturk/Mallow Municipal District of Cork County Council will take place on Monday, 4th April 2016 in the County Council Offices at Anabella, Mallow.
These meetings are held once a month, where the six councillors representing the Kanturk/Mallow Municipal District Area meet with the engineers that cover the area.
Councillors are entitled to submit a maximum of three motions in advance of the meeting on issues relating to day to day services provided by Cork County Council, such as roads, water, housing, waste water etc… The engineers have a written response to present at the meeting which is then discussed.
My motions for the April meeting are as follows:
- “That the Kanturk/Mallow Municipal District place additional road marking and signage on the Kanturk/Buttevant road; in particular in relation to bad bends on this section of road”.
- “That the Kanturk/Mallow Municipal District repair the broken/rough sections of footpath from Bweeng village towards the Church/Graveyard/Post Office & School”.
- “That the Kanturk/Mallow Municipal District outline what works will be undertaken within the District during 2016 as part of the additional €600k allocated countywide at estimates time in order to improve the approaches to our towns and villages for the coming year”.
