The April meeting of the Kanturk/Mallow Municipal District of Cork County Council will take place on Monday, 9th April 2018 in the Council Offices, Newmarket, Co Cork.
These meetings are held once a month, where the six councillors representing the Kanturk/Mallow Municipal District Area meet with the engineers that cover the area.
Councillors are entitled to submit a maximum of three motions in advance of the meeting on issues relating to day to day services provided by Cork County Council, such as roads, water, housing, waste water etc… The engineers have a written response to present at the meeting which is then discussed.
My motions for the April meeting are as follows:
“That the Kanturk/Mallow MD would put in place appropriate signage and roadmarkings at the dangerous bends at “Ballyheen” on the Kanturk-Buttevant Road which has in recent times recorded a number of speed related incidents”
“That the Kanturk/Mallow MD members would get an updated reported on derelict sites within the District and the efforts made on same to make these buildings non- derelict”
“That the Kanturk/Mallow MD members would be updated on the awarding of the grass cutting contract for 2018”
