The May meeting of the Kanturk/Mallow Municipal District of Cork County Council will take place on Friday, 6th May 2016 in the County Council Offices at Newmarket, Co Cork
These meetings are held once a month, where the six councillors representing the Kanturk/Mallow Municipal District Area meet with the engineers that cover the area.
Councillors are entitled to submit a maximum of three motions in advance of the meeting on issues relating to day to day services provided by Cork County Council, such as roads, water, housing, waste water etc… The engineers have a written response to present at the meeting which is then discussed.
My motions for the May meeting are as follows:
- “That this committee supports the residents of Cairn Woods estate in requesting a meeting with the Housing Directorate of Cork County Council to discuss ongoing concerns in relation to the letting of social units within the estate and the ongoing tenant liaison requirements of same”.
- “That this committee receives and update on the proposed pedestrian crossing outside Dun An Oir Estate, Kanturk”.
- “To seek the support of this committee in requesting the repair of the bridge at Curraghbower, Lombardstown which was damaged a few years back by a car accident”.
