The May meeting of the Kanturk/Mallow Municipal District of Cork County Council will take place on Friday, 5th May 2017 in the County Council Offices at Anabella, Mallow, Co Cork.
These meetings are held once a month, where the six councillors representing the Kanturk/Mallow Municipal District Area meet with the engineers that cover the area.
Councillors are entitled to submit a maximum of three motions in advance of the meeting on issues relating to day to day services provided by Cork County Council, such as roads, water, housing, waste water etc… The engineers have a written response to present at the meeting which is then discussed.
My motions for the May meeting are as follows:
“That the Kanturk/Mallow MD write to Bus Eireann requesting a “return” stop at the Cork Road, Mallow on their existing route 243 and also consider providing a shelter at Cork Road, Mallow”.
That the Kanturk/Mallow MD install road markings and signage at Beecher Street, Mallow in order to remind traffic that are in a 50KMPH Zone”.
“That the members of the Kanturk/Mallow MD get an update on addressing the serious issues in Gort Na hAbhann estate, Milford and Park View, Millstreet and in particular the lack of public lighting within these estates”
