Cork County Council is pleased to announce that the €3 gate entry charge will be waived at Mallow Recycling Centre on Friday 18th March.
This is for one day only – i.e. there will be FREE entry at Mallow Recycling Centre on the day after St. Patrick’s Day!
Please note the relevant few additional moderate charges applicable inside on site for some items such as grass or trailer loads of timber / construction waste will still be payable, as will the usual on-site fees for commercial customers.
People in Mallow and its surrounding areas are being given an ideal opportunity to visit Mallow Recycling Centre and become familiar with its layout and the range of materials accepted.
The free entry day is also a chance to remind householders that at this time of Spring cleaning, when people may be tidying up their homes and clearing out sheds and attics, that most of the items they want to discard are probably recyclable – and that the Mallow centre is ideally located and available to accept these materials.
Cork County Council continues to encourage people to start recycling and to repeat this practice frequently – a regular trip to the centre, say once or twice a month means that for no more than €3 per visit most households can dispose of the majority of their recyclable materials in a safe and proper manner.
The Mallow Recycling Centre is open:
Tues to Thurs – 9am to 4.30pm
Fridays – 9am to 3.30pm
Saturdays – 9am to 1pm
Mallow Recycling Centre does NOT close for lunch.
