A monthly memory café helping people with dementia and memory loss and their families is being piloted in Mallow.
The Memory Cafe is operated by the Crystal Project for Mallow and is a social gathering where people with memory loss and their family or friends can come together in a friendly and supportive environment.
The Crystal Project is a joint initiative between the HSE, The Alzheimer Society of Ireland, The Carers Association, UCC, families affected by dementia, local community groups and GPs.
The cafe will open on the third Saturday of each month (19th March this month) in the Gilbert Centre, Mallow. Each month we will have a focus – music, gardening, yoga or trips local places of interest. The focus for this Saturday is the 1916 Rising.
