The January meeting of the Northern Committee of Cork County Council will take place on Monday, 21st January 2019 in the Council Offices, Annabella, Mallow, Co Cork.
These meetings are held once a month, where the twelve Councillors representing the Kanturk/Mallow & Fermoy Municipal District Areas meet with the engineers that cover the area.
Councillors are entitled to submit motions in advance of the meeting on issues relating to day to day services provided by Cork County Council, such as roads, water, housing, waste water etc… This month will focus on Roads & Environment. The engineers have a written response to present at the meeting which is then discussed.
My motions for the January meeting are as follows:
“That the Northern Committee be updated on the commitment of Council from April 2017 on a pilot trial of repairing repeat potholes with hot macadam and advise when this system of repairing repeater potholes will be implemented on a full time basis”
“That this committee receives an update from the Director of Environment on the completion of outstanding works to The Spa House, Mallow and advise members on the re-opening the house to the general public”.
