O’Shea Encourages Female Entrepreneurs in Cork North West to Attend National Women’s Enterprise Day

Cork North West Fine Gael TD John Paul O’Shea is encouraging female entrepreneurs, start-ups and budding businesswomen from across the region to take part in this year’s National Women’s Enterprise Day event for the South West Region, taking place on Thursday, 16th October at the Radisson Blu Hotel & Spa, Little Island, Cork.

Organised by the Local Enterprise Offices (LEOs) of Cork and Kerry, this year’s event is themed “Making It Happen” and aims to inspire and support women in business at every stage of their journey – from those with an initial idea to established business leaders looking to grow and innovate.

Deputy O’Shea said “National Women’s Enterprise Day is a wonderful opportunity for female entrepreneurs in Cork North West to connect, share experiences and learn from some of Ireland’s leading businesswomen. Events like this are vital in promoting entrepreneurship, breaking down barriers, and providing women with the confidence and supports they need to take the next step in business. I would strongly encourage women from across our communities to register early and take advantage of this unique opportunity.”

The day will be hosted by broadcaster and wellbeing speaker Síle Seoige, with highlights including an interactive “Leading Lights” panel discussion featuring Marie Toft (Emotionise AI), Norma Kelly (Praline Pastry & Chocolate Shop), Claire Keane (Second Street Bakeshop), and Yasmina Renaudin (RedaCare). A special fireside chat will also take place with Noella Gabriel, Global President and Co-Founder of luxury skincare brand ELEMIS.

In addition to inspirational speakers, the event will showcase the wide range of supports available to women in business – from mentoring and training to financial and consultancy assistance – and will provide valuable networking opportunities for female entrepreneurs across Cork and Kerry.

Deputy O’Shea added “I want to see more women from Cork North West represented in entrepreneurship and business leadership. This event is about celebrating women in business, but also about showing that support and pathways exist for anyone with an idea or ambition to succeed. I encourage all women in business, whether you are just starting out or already established, to attend.”
