O’Shea Set to Open New Constituency Office in Charleville

O’Shea Set to Open New Constituency Office in Charleville

Following his election to the Kanturk/Charleville Electoral Area in May, North Cork Fine Gael Councillor John Paul O’Shea is pleased to open a new constituency office in the town of Charleville.

Cllr. O’Shea was re-elected to Cork County Council following the Local Elections in May, reaching the quota on the first count with 2,314 first-preference votes in the newly-established Kanturk/Charleville Electoral Area. Following this election success, Cllr. O’Shea has moved to compliment his existing constituency office in Kanturk by opening an office along Main Street in Charleville.

Cllr. O’Shea has been an elected representative in Cork County Council since 2009, and previously served as a representative of the Kanturk/Mallow Municipal District. A former Mayor of County Cork, he has recently been appointed as the Leader of Fine Gael in Cork County Council.

Cllr. O’Shea’s new constituency office on Main Street in Charleville will be open two days a week: on Tuesdays between 5pm and 7pm and on Fridays between 10am and 3pm.

“My office is open to anyone who needs my assistance, advice or support,” Cllr. O’Shea said. “I have been elected in the Kanturk/Charleville Electoral Area to represent the area, its communities and its population, and that is a job I intend to carry out to the best of my ability. By opening an office in Charleville, in addition to my existing office in Kanturk, I hope to be able to represent every community in this electoral area and support every person and group that seeks my help.

“I am very pleased to be able to open a new constituency office in the centre of Charleville. There has been an obvious lack of Fine Gael representation in the town over the last number of years and I look forward to ensuring that there is strong representation in the town of Charleville and its surrounding areas into the future.

“The office will be open to the public from Friday, June 28th with an Open Day between 10am and 3pm to welcome the opening of the office. I encourage members of the public in Charleville and its surrounding areas to pop in for a coffee and a chat with me. I look forward to seeing everyone on the day,” said Cllr. O’Shea.
