The public consultation period for Cork County Council’s eight Draft Municipal District Local Area Plans commenced this week and will run until Monday 16th January 2017.
Draft Local Area Plans on Public Display:
Volume 1 of the Draft Local Area Plans (hard-copy or electronic format) together with Volume(s) 2 and 3 in electronic format only, may be inspected by the public, each working day, (exclusive of public holidays), between the hours of 9.30 a.m. and 4.00 p.m. during the period beginning Wednesday 16th November, 2016 and Friday 6th January, 2017 at the following locations:
· Planning Department, Floor 1 County Hall, Cork.
· Planning Department, Norton House, Cork Rd., Skibbereen,
Co. Cork.
· Cork County Council Divisional Office at Annabella, Mallow
· County Library and Branch Libraries – Please check your local library regarding opening times and availability of PCs for accessing electronic format
Alternatively, the draft plans may be inspected online at www.corkcoco.ie at all times.
How to make a Submission:
Submissions or observations are hereby invited from the public or interested parties, in relation to the Draft Local Area Plans and will be taken into consideration prior to the making of the Local Area Plans. Children, or groups or associations representing the interests of children, are entitled to make submissions or observations on the Draft Local Area Plans.
Cork County Council has provided a system whereby submissions with associated attachments can be made on-line by the public and interested parties through www.corkcoco.ie. However, the Council regrets that for technical reasons, submissions made by e-mail cannot be accepted.
Written submissions or observations should be forwarded to the address below to arrive on or before Friday 6th January, 2017 (4 p.m.)

Submissions or observations with respect to the draft Local Area Plans, made either on-line (via www.corkcoco.ie) or in writing, and received by the Planning Authority within the period Wednesday 16th November, 2016 until 4 p.m. Monday 16th January, 2017, will be taken into consideration before the making of the eight Municipal District Local Area Plans.
