Members of the public are invited to attend an upcoming public information meeting:
The River Basin Management Plan 2018-2021 has prioritised Areas for Action for detailed assessment by the Local Authority Waters Programme.
Before on-the-ground assessments begin on the Upper Awbeg River Priority Area for Action (see attached map), the following public meeting has been scheduled:
The community meeting will take place as follows:
Location: Liscarroll Community Centre, Co. Cork (P51 H3KD)
Date: Tuesday, 30th April 2019
Time: 7:30pm – 9pm
The meeting will include an overview of why the Upper Awbeg was selected as a Priority Area for Action. There will be representatives of the Local Authority Waters Programme and others in attendance. This meeting are for all those interested in their local water bodies, including local residents from throughout the Upper River Awbeg catchment, community representatives, farmers, local land owners, tidy towns groups, anglers, forestry owners, recreational users, etc. There will be a Questions & Answers session and an opportunity for informal discussion during tea and coffee after each of the meetings. All are welcome and encouraged to attend.
