Cork County Council is delighted to announce that RTE Nationwide will visit North Cork next week on Monday 16th and 17th May.
This is a wonderful opportunity to highlight what this beautiful, historic, cultural social and shopping area has to offer visitors. The Nationwide Team has made contact with relevant community groups in each of the areas.
Points of interest in the areas of Mallow, Buttevant, Doneraile and Kilavullen will be particularly noted among them the river Blackwater, Mallow Plaza, Mallow Castle, Spa House, Doneraile Park, Buttevant Heritage and the Nano Nagle Centre, Kilavullen.
Commenting on the upcoming visit, Mayor of the County of Cork Cllr. John Paul O’ Shea said “this is a wonderful opportunity for North Cork to showcase all that is to offer in the region. North Cork presents many opportunities to develop it’s own heritage and tourism potential over the coming years and It also presents opportunities for the development of educational, community and enterprise services and supports. Featuring on nationally television is going to be an incredible boost for North Cork and i want to thank RTE in advance for coming to North Cork”.
