Following a public meeting held on Monday April 22nd last, the Dromahane Community Park Group, with support from both Cork County Council and Avondhu Blackwater Partnership LTD has been formed.
To date, the local park committee have met on three occasions; the initial meeting was to formally establish the local community group and the other meetings were discussing different amenities for inclusion in the park with Cathal O’Meara, landscape architect with Avondhu Blackwater Partnership LTD and fundraising ideas.
To ensure ongoing community involvement and establish local consensus, the group has put together a survey in order to see what the community would like to see in their community park. Your participation in this survey would be greatly appreciated. Please complete it, with (1) being the highest priority and (11) being the lowest. Completed survey collection boxes are available at LJ.’s Takeaway, Hickey’s pub, Corkery’s pub, and Kelly’s shop in the village up until Monday June 10th. An additional survey collection box will also be available in Dromahane Church before mass on Sunday June 9th.
Alternatively, email your preferences along with any other comments/suggestions you may have to;
dromahanecommunitypark@gmail.com or send a message to Dromahane Community Park Group on Facebook.
The outcomes provided from this survey once collated will be used to create a draft design for the community park for public viewing over the next couple of weeks.
