€150,000 in Government funding has been made available to Cork County Council for to enhance existing group water schemes in County Cork.
The allocation is being provided under measure two of the Rural Water Programme 2018. Under measure two, up to 85% of funding can be applied for meaning that applicants can get up to a maximum of €7,650 per house to enhance their existing group water scheme.
North Cork Councillor John Paul O’ Shea is urging people in North Cork who are on group water schemes to avail of this grant, which will be administrated by Cork County Council, through the Rural Water Liaison Officer.
