A further tranche of funding under the Town and Village Renewal Scheme has been announced with the Village of Liscarroll and Town of Kanturk awarded funding.
There is great news for Kanturk with €162,000 allocated for the extension of the footpath from Kanturk Castle to Jacko’s Cross.
There is also good news for Liscarroll with €160,000 allocated for entire footpath replacement works in the village.
Welcoming the funding for North Cork Fine Gael Representative, Cllr. John Paul O’ Shea said “This is excellent news for Kanturk & Liscarroll as these communities have been working with Cork County Council on developing these projects for the last number of months. The delivery of these projects will have a positive boost to the local economy in North Cork and will encourage rural development and will improve and strengthen existing rural projects.
Well done to both Kanturk & Liscarroll and to Minister Heather Humphreys for allocating this funding to these deserving groups”.
