Launch of Racing Home for Easter Festival proudly supported by Cork County Council

Mallow’s Racing Home for Easter Festival takes place on Friday, March 31st through to Monday April 2nd and promises something for everyone.  The 3 day festival coincides with the traditional Easter racing meeting at Cork Racecourse Mallow, where there’s a great combination of National Hunt racing and flat racing to be enjoyed and also includes a colourful programme of festival events in Mallow town.

Chief Executive of Cork County Council, Tim Lucey noted the growth of the festival in recent years, “Cork County Council is very proud to support this event whichsees local businesses and the wider community working together in partnership to promote Mallow Town and the wider region of North Cork.”

This Easter weekend sees the Racing Home for Easter Festival taking place at Mallow sponsored by Cork County Council.

The festival is also a great way of encouraging those who grew up in the Blackwater Valley region but who have since left to come home to Mallow and Cork for Easter and enjoy a great day out.

Mayor of the County of Cork, Cllr Declan Hurley congratulated the organising committee, Chaired by Mr. Pat Hayes, Mallow Chamber of Commerce, on turning what was a fledging festival into a highlight in the Cork’s calendar, “The festival provides a much needed boost to the economy of North Cork and the wider Blackwater Valley.  The festival is about giving people reasons to stay in or come to Mallow and surrounding areas, I can’t think of a better way to spend the Easter Bank Holiday weekend.”
