New Seniors Alert Scheme – Invitation to attend information sessions

New Seniors Alert Scheme – Invitation to attend information sessions

The New Seniors Alert Scheme was recently launched by Minister Michael Ring TD, Minister for Rural and Community Development in Third Age Foundation in Summerhill, Co. Meath. Please see link here to the Ministers press release.

The objective of the Seniors Alert Scheme (SAS) is to encourage community support for the vulnerable older people in our community through the provision of personal monitored alarms to enable older persons, of limited means, to continue to live securely in their homes with confidence, independence and peace of mind.

The scheme is administered locally by community groups who have regular engagement with older people.  We are writing to you to bring the launch of the new scheme to your attention, and we would be delighted if you could highlight to your team and to relevant community organisations that you engage with who may be interested in supporting the delivery this scheme.

Pobal will shortly be running information sessions on the New Seniors Alert Scheme to inform all community groups of the benefits and improvements to the scheme.  The details of the information events are provided below.
