Transport service in Duhallow provides a lifeline for people in rural areas

Duhallow Area Rural Transport (DART) was set up in 2003 to develop rural transport services in the Duhallow area. The aim of this service is to provide an integrated accessible and affordable public transport service that links individuals living in rural communities with local services and facilities. It can be used by anyone, young or not so young!

Unique features of DART include:

– Its door-door service.

– Availability of passenger assistants to ensure that people with mobility difficulties and children are facilitated.

– Flexibility of transport to suit your needs.

– Commitment to focus on social inclusion to overcome difficulties associated with age, immobility and isolation.

– Contract routes to local private bus operators.

To avail of the door to door service which will stop at your house, it is neccessary to make a booking by ringing theDART office on (029) 60648 between the hours of 9am to 5.30pm two days prior to the journey.
