Vacancy and Regeneration Drop-in Days at Cork County Council Libraries Welcome

Vacancy and Regeneration Drop-in Days at Cork County Council Libraries Welcome

Cork North West Fine Gael TD John Paul O’ Shea welcomes the announcement by Cork County Council to host a number of information clinics on Vacancy and Dereliction supports available during April and May.

Staff of Cork County Council’s Town Regeneration Office (TRO) will be in attendance to provide property owners with information on how to avail of grants and other supports to assist in bringing their properties back into use, and to answer any queries property owners may have in relation to bringing their property back into use.

Welcoming this initiative by Cork County Council, Deputy O’Shea said “We have an awful lot of vacant and derelict properties in our towns and villages and indeed the rural areas around Cork North West. There is support and grants available so I am glad that during the month of April, the Town Regeneration Office of Cork County Council will be holding a series of Vacancy and Regeneration Drop In Days for owners of vacant, under-utilised and derelict properties. These will be facilitated in the Council’s public library network at specified times on specific dates outlined below”.

Deputy O’Shea added “I hope that the owners of these properties will avail of this initiative by Cork County Council and will assist them in getting back these buildings to good use. We all want to see houses brought back to homes in our towns and villages and this is one way of helping achieve this. I look forward to seeing these events take place and commend Cork County Council for arranging it”.
