Irish Water and Cork County Council have now restored a water supply to the majority of customers in Banteer following an unplanned shut-down of the supply on Sunday.
A new water source has been brought on line and this is being supplemented by water from other local schemes to supply Banteer and the surrounding areas.
While water supply should be returning to all customers over the coming hours, it may take another 24 hours for full flows to be restored. During this time, water pressure may be low in some areas. As this issue is being resolved, we would ask customers in the Banteer area to continue to conserve their supply.
Irish Water apologises for any inconvenience caused as a result of this unplanned event and thanks our customers in Banteer for their patience while we worked to resolve it.
