The services are being rolled-out to address the social isolation experienced by many people for a variety of reasons.
The first service started with great success in the Nadd-Lyre-Kilcorney-Rathcoole-Dromagh-Banteer-Roskeen areas on Sunday July 22nd. Passengers there have the option of going to Sunday evening mass in Banteer, visiting family and friends, accessing local facilities such as shops, community events etc. and perhaps visiting local public houses if desired. The service operates from 6.00 pm to a little after midnight.
Three similar services with slightly different times are commencing in the coming weeks as follows:
-
Starting Wednesday July 25th: Glash Bridge-Boherbue-Cullen-Dromagh-Dromtariffe-Rathcoole Areas every Wednesday, changing to Tuesday on first Tuesday of month
-
Starting Saturday July 28th: Rockchapel-Taur-Meelin-Newmarket Areas every Saturday
-
Starting Friday August 3rd: Lismire-Freemount-Kilbrin-Cecilstown-Castlemagner-Kanturk Areas every Friday
